Located in the eastern portion of Yunnan Province, Qujing features pleasant weather in August.

 As an “International Plateau Sports City” Qujing is attracting more and more international and Chinese athletes every year for a variety of sporting pursuits.

It takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to drive the 120km from Kunming Changshui Airport to the race venue. The Qujing race organizing will provide shuttle bus transfer from Kunming airport to Qujing for a fee. Regularly scheduled airport express bus connections are also available from Kunming to Qujing.

Swim Course

The swim course is set in the "Qujing Triathlon Sports Park". The lake is clean and calm with pleasant scenery. Swimming will take place by Rolling-Start, and the water temperature is estimated about 23˚C/73.4˚F.

Bike Course

The "widest course" can be found in IRONMAN 70.3 Qujing. 10 closed lanes provide an exciting bike course for the athletes. Wide and challenging, the climbs all bring long, fast downhill sections, 90km bike course athletes will ride 2+1/3 laps, total climbing estimated 1200-1300 meters.

Run Course

Running through a wide and flat asphalt road, athletes will come into the Xihe Park. The pleasant scenery can ease athletes’ exhaustion. With the new run course, athletes will run 2 laps and it will provide much more variety than the 2017 course.

Transition 1

T1 is located in the Qujing Triathlon Sport Park, same as the swim course.

T2 and Finish are located in the “Five Museum & One Center” (Including Qujing Art Museum, Science and Technology Museum, Library, Museum, Planning Exhibition Hall and Sports Center.)

In the last few hundred meters of running course, athletes will go through an international standard track and field.
