Official Statement on the Discounted Registration Fee of IRONMAN 70.3 Chongqing from Chongqing Liangjiang Tri-Club

It has come to our attention that the Chongqing Liangjiang Triclub announced to the public a discounted entry opportunity for IRONMAN 70.3 Chongqing. Many athletes have become confused by this offering. IRONMAN provides clarification as follows:

1. The discounted registration offered by the Liangjiang Tri-Club is not part of an officially sanctioned tri-club program from IRONMAN.

2. According to feedback from the Chongqing Liangjiang Tri-Club, the discounted registration fee is a result of financial support from some local sponsor companies.

3. We encourage the Tri-Clubs to cooperate with any outside resources to help promote the registration of IRONMAN China races and the brand image of IRONMAN.
